Finally, I have convinced the beloved husband that I would be just as happy with a bunch of tulips as I would with an arranged vase from the florist. First, I have too many vases already and I spent ten years as a floral designer so I am fussy about my cut flowers. I always rearrange them.
In fact, I have been known to go into a rest room in a fancy restaurant or hotel with a big silk arrangement and well…rearrange it! Some habits die hard.
I like simple and here it is!
I like my flowers to remain on the earth. I know, I want the flowers to have a natural life. Those colours are gorgeous.

Mostly, I do too. This time of year with the drab winter, the color and freshness inside is wonderful!

Tulips offer that promise of Spring, when their buds poke out from beneath the snow. Love your flowers. Hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day.

Nicely done. Wise decision. (all those sad droopy roses out there being hawked in parking lots) Hope the day is perfect!

I adore tulips. Very pretty. I wish that you lived near me so that you could teach me how to arrange flowers. That is one skill that I have never been able to master. Love that you keep yourself in practice on hotel silk flowers. That’s wonderful.

I am very grateful. I just received an email from my niece. Her husband doesn’t do flowers but he is making lobster for supper. Everyone has their own way of celebrating.

I think those are lovely. I agree about the roses.
How interesting…….a floral designer. 🙂 It really is the arrangement that gives things their appeal or meaning.
I have been meaning to arrange a lot of things around my home……..but the idea is just not very appealing. 😦

Considering my background you would be disappointed to know that I don’t do much arranging at home. I rarely do anything other than simple vases.
