I’m still recovering from a wonderful vacation. Here is a comic strip from one of my favorite cartoonists, Patrick McDonnell. It says it all!
Over the summer a few bloggers have nominated me for awards. In the past, I have completed the boring personal information part of the acceptance (I bet you are relieved!). However, I do need to give some great bloggers credit.

Thanks to Jensine for the Day Dreamer Award. Jensine is a writer in Ireland who blogs about day-to-day life. She hasn’t posted in a couple of weeks. I am hoping she is on vacation and will be back soon.
Thanks to playful meanderings for the Lovely Blog Award. She is a new blogger (at least new to me) who writes on a variety of topics. Her blog is also very beautiful.
Thanks to Jots from a Small Apt for the Booker Award. I have been reading her for a few months and she is funny, sometimes irreverent and a very good read.

The comic strips does say it well! I understand! I’ve been home long enough from our July vacation that I now think it’s appropriate that I move forward with plans for another one! Congrats on all awards. They can be very affirming! 🙂 Debra
